research
My artistic research grows out of my work as a performer and chamber musician, with a particular focus on the concert accordion, contemporary chamber music, performer–composer collaboration, artistic identity and performance practice. My research activity includes doctoral artistic research at the Sibelius Academy, publications, lecture-recitals and presentations at international conferences. Across these contexts, I explore how performance, reflection and collaborative practice can generate knowledge about interpretation, musicianship and the evolving artistic role of the accordion.
